Nurofen
Classification: This medicine is classified as a Pharmacy Only Medicine in New Zealand.
Description: Nurofen is best used for the quick and effective relief of headaches, migraine, back pain, arthritis, rheumatic and muscle pain, neuralgia, toothache, sore throats and period pain. It can also reduce colds, flus and fevers.
Nurofen works at the site of the pain. It quickly relieves pain, reduces inflammation and lowers temperature.
Purpose: The Ibuprofen in Nurofen relieves pain and inflammation at the site of the pain. Ibuprofen is gentle on the stomach.
Active Ingredient: 200mg ibuprofen
Dosage: Adults and Children over 12 years: Initial dose 2 tablets taken with water, then if necessary, 1 or 2 tablets every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 tablets daily. Not intended for children under 12 years of age.
Warning: WARNING: Do not take Nurofen if you suffer from a stomach ulcer or other stomach disorder, or are allergic to any of the ingredients, or to any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pharmacy products.
Do not take Nurofen if you are taking aspirin or any other pain-relieving medication.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, asthmatic, or are taking any other regular medical treatment before taking Nurofen.
If symptoms persist or worsen, or if new symptoms occur, consult your doctor.
